dbakers Sweet Studio ("dbakers," "we," "us," or "our") is a local bakery based in Miami, Florida. We sell and fulfill orders within the Miami-Dade and Broward markets. Although our Site (dbakers.us) is accessible online, this policy applies to all visitors and customers.

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from dbakers.us, how we use it, the third parties that help us run the Site, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Device and usage information. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with the Site, including your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, the search terms and referring links that brought you here, and how you move through and interact with pages. We collect this using cookies, log files, and pixels/tags (described under Tracking technologies below).

Order and contact information. When you place or attempt to place an order, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address, pickup or delivery details, and payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers). If you sign up for email or SMS, we collect the contact details and consent associated with that signup.

We refer to all of the above together as "personal information."

Tracking technologies and the third parties we use

We use cookies and similar technologies, and we share limited information with the service providers below so the Site can function and so we can understand and improve it. We do our best to keep this list current; if you notice something out of date, contact us.

  • Shopify — hosts and powers our online store and checkout.
  • Google — Google Analytics (site analytics and measurement), Google Ads/Merchant measurement (advertising performance), and Google Maps and Google Fonts (store-locator map and fonts). You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Klaviyo — powers our email and SMS marketing and related on-site activity (for example, signup forms and recognizing returning subscribers). Email messages may contain open- and click-tracking.
  • Gorgias — powers our live chat and customer-support widget. Messages you send through chat are processed by Gorgias to provide support.
  • Loox — collects and displays product reviews and photos.
  • Yotpo — powers our loyalty and rewards program.
  • Smile.io — previously supported our loyalty and rewards program. We are phasing this service out and expect to remove it from the Site by the end of July 2026.
  • Zapiet — manages local pickup and delivery scheduling.
  • Metrobi — our delivery partner for some local deliveries; we share recipient name, delivery address, and phone number solely to fulfill your delivery.

We may also disclose personal information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests (such as subpoenas or court orders), or protect our rights, property, or safety.

How we use information

We use order and contact information to fulfill and manage orders (including processing payments and coordinating local pickup or delivery), to communicate with you about your orders, to screen for fraud, and, where you have opted in, to send marketing. We use device and usage information to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and to measure our marketing.

Your choices

Cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, we present a cookie consent banner that lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies and tracking, or manage your preferences. Essential cookies needed to run the Site and checkout cannot be turned off.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). For visitors in U.S. states that recognize it, we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Marketing opt-outs. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and from SMS by replying STOP. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through optout.aboutads.info, and adjust ad settings at Google (google.com/settings/ads).

Access and deletion. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal, tax, and accounting record-keeping requirements.

Sale or sharing of personal information

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of the tracking described above, for example advertising and analytics cookies, may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain U.S. state laws. You can opt out of this at any time by selecting Decline on our cookie banner, by enabling Global Privacy Control, or by contacting us.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we respond to the Global Privacy Control signal (described above) rather than DNT.

Your rights by state

Florida residents. Florida does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute that applies to a business of our size, but you may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to record-keeping requirements.

California residents. You have the right to request information about the personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Your choices and Sale or sharing above). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Visitors from outside the United States. We serve customers only in Miami and do not market or sell outside the U.S. If you visit the Site from abroad, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

SMS messaging

Subscribers to the dbakers Sweet Studio SMS program may receive messages about promotions, new products, events, and updates.

  • Cost: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
  • Frequency: Message frequency varies; an average of two to three messages per week.
  • Privacy: Mobile numbers collected for SMS are used solely to deliver messages you opted into. We do not sell or share mobile numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchase.

Data retention

We retain order information for our records unless and until you request deletion, subject to legal, tax, and accounting requirements under Florida and U.S. federal law.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates are posted here with a new last-updated date.
